My dog is not a morning dog

Woke up at 620A and caught the 655A bus—-go me! But it was not meant to be……10 minutes from work some idiot crashed and took down two poles (I can say idiot because he is alive and ok) so the cops made everyone detour. I got to see parts of Charlotte I’ve never seen though so that was a plus. To get through the detour, I just played on my BlackBerry and updated my datebook. How cute is my datebook? It says “Let the sun shine on me and make me feel special….” And it is just too cute! And it has red and white polka dots on the inside. It makes me happy every time I see it 🙂

But then a 40 min bus ride ended up taking an hour and a half so me=not a happy camper.

A few interesting things though

*Some guy who I have never seen at my bus stop offered for me to stand under his tiny umbrella-ella-ella-ella. Sorry random, slightly creepy man I have never seen or spoken to, I am alright. And I am super mad because I couldn’t find my mini Coach umbrella. It was so cute-turquoise with  signature C’s on it and I got it on sale at the Coach outlet! But now I just remembered that I left it on the bus last wk and am highly sure I am not getting that baby back. RIP…..

 

*There is a new cutie on the bus. I am sure he is not jail bait but not so sure he can buy liquor legally in the US. And he looks like a slightly overweight Josh Hartnett (in his clean days, not went he went dirty like Ethan Hawke).

 He gets off at the community college stop each day maybe I can offer some “tutoring” services hehe

*We have another celebrity lookalike on the bus  (but not a good one!) This dude looks like David Gest (liza’s ex)

I know, I just lost my appetite too. He is usually quiet and reserved but after our slight detour today, he was getting really ancy and couldn’t stop tapping his foot. He rang the bell to get off (about eight miles from work….in the rain) so I am not sure what happened to him.

Breakfast was day two of operation-get-off-the-greek yogurt.

Blueberries and oatmeal with some blueberry flavored flax

 

Now I shall only answer to Blueberry Muffin since I was in blueberry heaven

Lunch was sloppy joes

 

Snacks were a banana and orange . I am not sure if you can tell by this angle but they looked like they were spooning on my desk 🙂

Some random thoughts:

I wonder why on Microsoft Officer communicator there is an emotion for a martini? No clue but I love it!!

I don’t like looking on Facebook to see that men who may have done a body shot off of me in college now have babies (especially daughters) this just irks me
Dinner was inspired from Tina’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza

I made split chicken breasts this weekend marinated in Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Sauce and used that for the chicken (love the timesaver there!) and took Trader Joe’s Whole Wheat Pizza Dough (1/2 of the entire portion), spread Naturally Fresh  Lite Peppercorn dressing on top, topped with chicken, onion (I didn’t have green but threw some yellow onion in my food processor along with jalapenos for a little extra spice) and mozzarella cheese and let bake for about 13 mins. I would make this again, it’s a nice break from regular pizza.

 

I am so excited for Lost tonight!!!! I cannot wait to see what happens however it is bittersweet since it is the final season (which I secretly hope they are lying about!)  I love this photo clearly taking after the Last Supper with Locke in Jesus’ seat.

And this would be me being a dork with my Lost shirt-I’m so stoked (and need a tan, I look like an extra on True Blood!)

Anyone else excited? Do Not Disturb is going on my BBM 🙂

GTL

GTL GTL GTL. I have said this all day since I just got schooled in what exactly Jersey Shore is! I got an email saying “The Situation” (which I also learned this is a person, not a thing. Go figure!)

 I am kinda intrigued and a small part of me wants to go. Oh yeah, except I wake up at 545A most mornings and need to be on my A game when I am at work. Are his abs for real? Is this like a spin-off of Growing Up Gotti? And how much laundry do they do that they have to add a “L” for Laundry in their oh-so-cool acronymn?

I have spent the last two hours on the phone with HP as my computer was not wanting to start but it is finally up and running again!

I walked to the bus stop today instead of driving because the roads were still pretty icy. It was a happy Monday because of my cool new lunchbox (Thanks Target!) which holds 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 days of snacks!

Cmon, how cute is that??

I got into work and apparently missed the memo on coming in late today. I rolled in at 730A and my co-workers made it in from 930A-10A. Nice. Love that the girl from Florida can get in early but the Yankees and Charlotteans can’t. I wish there was a font for snark!

I decided to try something different from breakfast–oatmeal with flaxand blueberries. A purple mess (and it matches my lunchbox!)

I spent most of the day surfing the web (wow have not said that in forever) and getting schooled in the fineness of Jersey Shore.

Breakfast was left over sloppy joes and chicken noodle soup

with a crack snack pack that I haven’t enjoyed in forever!

 

This afternoon is a haze but I know I didn’t do a lot of work. I think I spent a good hour socializing, went to the library, Starbucks, met with my manager for a meeting we are having with a separate group tomorrow and that’s it.

Dinner was leftover split chicken with Ken’s Lite Honey Mustard sauce and a baked potato with a dab of ranch dressing and seasoning.

 

 Last season on the Bachelorette, I was on Team Jake.

 But now, I would really like to make a drinking game for the Bachelor. This is what I got so far:

*”This is like a fairytale!”

*” I don’t want to get hurt” take two drinks

*”I’m here to find a wife” take three drinks

And Vienna is super annoying tonight, she reminds me of a beat up Haley Duff. Home girl slice better slow her roll with chomping on her acrylics or her french manicure is no longer going to be french. Meh. Jake, win my heart back and please vote her off!!

I must break you

 Hello hello! Yay for Sunday…..not so much. It’s my least favorite day of the wk. Pair that up with no football on today–boooooo Sunday!

Breakfast was

 1/3 cup rolled oats

 1 cup 8th Continent Soy Milk

 1 Banana

 1 Tbsp Flax

 1/2 scoop chocolate protein 

 1  banana all mixed together.

I don’t know why Lincoln is trying to be all saucy and seductive but this made me laugh.

I looked outside and it was still a winter wonderland so I walked over to Trader Joe’s  for something to do. It felt so good to get out. Nothing like some cabin fever! And it was empty—I have never seen Trader Joe’s empty!

 I got a lot of yummies there including Tempeh (which I have never tried so that should be interesting), almond butter with flax, bananas, oranges, harvest blend of veggies, frozen blueberries and pineapple, baking soda and buns.

The thing I love about TJ’s is if you are not satisfied with a product or simply don’t like it, you can bring it back for a full refund or exchange!

I then decided to workout all Rocky IV style! 

Ok maybe not as hardcore as that but still. I took my kettlebell outside and walked up flights of stairs with it (about 200+ steps), then did some swings, snatches and halos outside.

Fun did you know fact from Rocky IV….The training scenes set in Russia were actually filmed in Wyoming; the farm is located in Jackson Hole, and most of the exterior shots were filmed in the Grand Teton National Park. Never knew that!

For lunch, I wanted something warm and hearty. I made sloppy joe’s with ground turkey, Manwhich sauce and diced onions and jalapenos for a little kick! 

 

While that was cooking, I put some split chicken breast in the crockpot with Frank’s Red Hot and Budweiser BBQ Sauce

I added a tbsp of Naturally Fresh Peppercorn Dressing on the final product

 

On the side, I have Campbell’s Select Harvest Chicken Noodle Soup. Not totally impressed with it. I thought it lacked flavor and taste but had a coupon for it so I got it $.55. I wouldn’t buy again.
