Happy Friday all! No Frugal Friday post since I am getting ready to drive to Atlanta this morning to meet my parents. Atlanta is about four hours away from here and I am going to give them a bunch of my stuff to store in Florida while I’m traveling.
Including this
You all know how much I love Lincoln. He’s my little baby and my PIC (thanks Leila for the term I love it. That’s partner in crime for those who don’t know what it means!)
Originally, the plan was to travel around with Lincoln by my side but the more I thought about it, the idea of him going with my parents is the best choice. He won’t have to sit in a car for hours each day and be in environments that he is not familiar with. Plus my parents have an older dog who does exceptionally better when Lincoln is there since Lincoln keeps him on his toes. As my dad said “My you giving us Lincoln, you’re helping keep Mickey alive” Touche, pops.
Lincoln definitely knows somethings up. I only got four hours of sleep and just packed up the car and now he won’t even look at me in the eye.
I don’t know when I will see him again but it will be sometime in late July. So a month…..without my dog. I’ve cried enough this week because I will miss him so much but this is going to be the best for both of us. Besides, he gets to go party in Boca Raton, FL with another dog, a pool and a house with people who are there to rub his belly. It could definitely be worse.
I’m not the only one who’s going to miss him, the paparazzi will!
But more to come on that later, I got to hit the road.
Hope you all are having a better Friday than I am, I’m a wreck right now. I’m going to miss my pup
TIFFANY! hugs to you! i almost started crying reading about you crying about missing little lincoln! omg. that was the longest runnnn on sentence ever!
have a safe drive and cant wait to see where your adventures take you!!! xoxo BE SAFE!
How is it that they know? When we’re going somewhere “not fun,” Chauncey can totally tell (despite my fake excitement) and it freaks me out. At any rate, I feel your pain 😦 But it is really for the best, as you know, and you’re both going to have a great summer. Heck, I want to go stay where Lincoln’s going!
It will be hard at first, but just think of how fun the reunion will be!
Awww 😦 I’m sure you will miss him like crazy!
I love that first picture of him, I don’t know why but I find it hiliarious!
I hope you enjoy your stay! Which area do they live in? I’m close to Druid Hills/Emory. Hope you have a great time and do some fun stuff!
Awww, it’s always so sad to leave a dog behind– I get really emotional when we have to do that because of travel. Just be glad that he’s with family and another dog– he’ll probably have a blast. It’s like summer camp for him!
Aww, I’m so sorry that Lincoln cannot travel with you. I know that feeling too. Don’t you just wish he can transform into a lil man, so you guys can do all the traveling… BUT! Like you said, he will have a great time with your family, and think about how awesome it will be to see him again! 🙂 He will be in good hands!
cheer up! you are being a good mom by dropping him off. Safe travels!
Lincoln is too cute. I bet he’ll enjoy his alone time. We all need it.
Have a great trip!
I love that first photo of him! He’s so cute! Sounds like you’re doing the best thing for him, as much as it make you sad.
Oh my gosh. Stop it with those photos. He’s adorable! You are gonna have so much damn fun. I am jealous. Again.
Ah poor Lincoln he’ll miss you too! Have a fab trip!
oh, sweetie. I know how much I miss Basil when I’m only gone a few days. my mom always says he’s kinda whiney for about 30 minutes, then it’s playtime and he’s FINE. Linx will be too… and you’re going to have So Much Fun. this is a small amount of time in the big scheme of things.
sweet photos, what a little cutie! ❤
Omg, this was so sad. I’m definitely going to miss photos of his little face, but I agree that it would be better for him to stay with your parents 😦 And it’s only temporary! You’ll be reunited before you know it.
Aww… I’ve been behind on reading blogs lately… so sorry that you have to travel without Lincoln. But you are right, it is probably best for him to be in a stable environment. It’s gets hot really quick. When we were traveling from DC to San Diego, there were times when I was really worried about Little-bit. I had my air conditioner on as high as it would go, but sometimes it was still too warm back there for him. Nevada was the worst. Oh, and apparently South I-5 in July is hot as hell as well. That was a nightmare. We should have driven down the 101.
Have fun on your travels, just call your folks often to get your Lincoln fix. 🙂 Sounds like he will have fun with Mickey.
