Nips

17 May

And no I don’t mean this kind

I mean this kind

All I see today are men’s nips. And it’s because of the date I went on on Saturday night. I didn’t type about this before because I was still kind of disgusted but need to let this out. So the dude I went out with had a nice button up shirt on but forgot his undershirt. And his nips were hard and sticking out through his shirt—eww. It’s all I could stare at and kept drinking in hopes that they would soon go away but they never did. Whenever I saw a guy today, I kept seeing his nips through his shirt and felt sick. I don’t know if he was secretly rubbing ice on those babies or just aroused (I cmon look at me lol) but yeah, seriously just grossed me out.  Ay chihuahua

I’m scarred.

Onto brighter things, I hate this hot, sticky weather. Not only do I feel nasty and can’t do my hair, I want something cold all the time and preferably ice cream. I need to get off this kick ASAP. I tried Blue Bunny Frozen Yogurt last night and it was terrific. I buy the single portions for myself because when it comes to ice cream or chips, I have no portion control whatsoever.

Lincoln gave it two paws up as well

It was a nasty day today, all rainy and humid. I have a rough time on Mondays in the first place so the weather did not help at all. Plus, I had a dream last night that Cher and Alex Baldwin teamed up and were trying to kill me so I was kinda perturbed waking up.

Chobani was on sale for $1 each at the supermarket this wknd and stocked up on plain since that’s all they had. I had Chobani 2% Plain Yogurt with fresh strawberries, coconut and coconut granola for breakfast

This morning was busy so it went by quickly and not too many issues on hand.

Once again, I celebrated National Salad Month and had a BIG Salad with baby spinach, bella mushrooms, zucchini, cucumbers and tuna salad topped with Kraft Light Three Cheese Ranch

I made Amy’s Tortilla Casserole and Black Bean Bowl for dinner with a side of Baked Scoops with salsa and greek yogurt for dipping

I liked the black beans but wasn’t crazy about the casserole part. I could have made something more flavorful and spicy. It reminded me of something like Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice, which I hate.

I did a nice kettlebell session including halos, windmills, swings, snatches, planks, push ups, crunches and jumping.

Never would I have thought I would be typing about nips and snatches tonight. Hey, I never called myself mature.

In an attempt to have something not cold as a snack, my post workout snack was a baked apple topped with peanut butter

I really need to get my workouts in gear….like now. I have my 5K this wknd coming up and am still on the fence if I am going to do it or not. I’m at the point where it hurts to walk. Even if I am sitting in the same position for 10 minutes, my knee is absolutely killing me and no matter how much I stretch, ice or soak it’s not getting better. I’m contemplating going to a knee specialist (can’t think of the technical name) soon because if I can’t even walk, I’m not going to be happy.

Anyways, the reason for the get my butt into gear is because I am going to NYC in less than two months!!

My friends 30th birthday is coming up and a group of us are going up to celebrate. None of us are from there, haven’t been in ages so if anyone has any suggestions on restaurants, bars, etc. let a girl know!!

Ahahaha… see now I’m going to be overly aware of male nips everywhere. It’s still quite breezy here in Chicago! aaahhh! Sorta reminds me of 40 Days and 40 Nights when Josh Hartnett sees boobs everywhere he goes….

    Thanks. :p

Nips….ha ha ha! So, I’m guessing there won’t be a second date???

Definitely go to an orthopedic doctor and they will take x-rays of your knees and then most likely send you to a physical therapist. I feel your knee pain though! I have a race coming up in the end of June and I’m not sure that will happen.

Last time in NYC, we went to a Cuban restaurant called Havana. It was AMAZING!! I would definitely go there again. I went to opentable.com for reviews of different types of restaurants and picked that one. If you’ve never been to opentable, head over and join. It’s free and you can even make your reservations right on the website! As far as running, if you can’t move.. definitely don’t push it. It’s not worth it!! Good luck!

I’ve never heard of OpenTable–thanks for the recommendation!

And I had some co-workers who used to live in NYC telling me about Havana, love me some good Cuban food 🙂

I’ve never seen the individual blue bunny frozen yogurt. . . I’m just like you. I will end up eating the whole gallon if I don’t buy individual packages. It’s just too good to stop 🙂

Oh, it’s wonderful. It’s the only thing that keeps me in check. Plus, they were on sale for $1 at the supermarket so I stocked up!

Some guys have no clue, and the sad thing is if they don’t know already, nobody’s going to tell them those important things. So they’ll probably just wander through life, cold and alone. 😉
