The Flying Biscuit

 Did anyone see this on Jimmy Kimmel last night? Holy Cannoli her laugh is in neck and neck with Fran Drescher’s for most annoying laugh ever!!! Make it stop!

When I first saw Bachelor #2 I thought it was Perez Hilton! Not so much.

I wanted to thank Melissa for posting this tip about Sally Hansen Microwavable  Eyebrow, Lip and Face Wax. I have been in need of an eyebrow wax but have been lazy about going and bought this product today. I tried it after I got out of the shower and my brows look fab!! It didn’t hurt at all and wasn’t messy (plus no strips-yay!) I highly recommend this product and will contiue to use it.

I met up with a friend for lunch at The Flying Biscuit today. And a perfect opportunity to try out my new Sony Cyber Shot camera-yay!

 

The Flying Biscuit is originally from Atlanta but has a location in Charlotte and another one coming soon. If you are ever in either city, you gotta try it!

I love how colorful everything is

I had the Devil Burger–spicy & hot. The veggie & grain patty topped with  feta cheese, red onion spears, a smoky jalapeño sauce, lettuce & tomato with Oven-Roasted “Moon Dusted” Potatoes

I was very excited!

My friend had the BBQ Chicken Burrito-bbq chicken, collard greens, sweet onions, red & green peppers and cheddar cheese folded into a sun dried tomato tortilla, topped w/warm red salsa & sour cream with Oven-Roasted “Moon Dusted”  Potatoes

My burger was good but I think I will stick with breakfast when I go there (this was my first time trying a non breakfast item) I do love how they give you a biscuit with anything you order though. There is always room for biscuits……

Afterwards we went to Borders and hung out. She is my friend who will be moving from Charlotte soon so today was one of our last meals together-teardrop.

She is taller than me but I look like a midge in these pics! And just to note, I do have hair. I just love my pink hat to death and am in desperate need to get my hair did.

I stopped at the library and got some movies for the weekend-Sweet Home Alabama (one of my faves), Liar Liar and The Departed. I am a girl of varied interests 🙂

I also stopped at Bi-Lo in search of my coveted cookie cake but saw a few and they were too big. I opted for Red Velvet Mini Cupcakes

Happy Valentine’s Day to me!

I came home and presented Lincoln with a new toy (Courtesy of Borders $1 shelf)

I was still full from lunch so I made the spinach dip in an Italian bread bowl for dinner.

My carb heaven!!

I had maybe 1.4 of the dip. I’ve been craving it but guess I just needed a little taste to satisfy me.  I had a nice two hour nap right before this and just plan on taking it easy tonight. It’s funny how 10 years ago, I would be mapping out what bars I was going to hit up on a Saturday night but now I am totally content sitting at home in fleece pants, a full belly, watching movies with my dog.

Snowmageddon? Not so much.

I woke up to this loveliness this morning

I love when it snows, the world just seems like a peaceful and happy place. No one is out, all is white ….not saying a perfect/peaceful world would be all white LOL!! Wow. That is totally not what I meant but I have to laugh now at how I worded that. White as in SNOW and it’s quiet out. No one is on the roads and if they are, the smart ones drive slow. It just makes me smile.

I started my morning by getting the snow off my car. I know it doesn’t seem much but it was on there and whaddya know, my scraper broke within the first two brushes so I had to scrap separately with the little piece in hand. This took a good 15 minutes and was a great workout! Plus I have the soundtrack to Trainspotting pumping so a good way to energize!

 

Soon enough, I was on the road and first stop was Starbucks. I had to go to the store to get some milk anyways so figured I would let someone else make my drink this morning. This was the least crowded I have ever seen Starbucks and there was only one other person there.

I treated myself to a Raspberry Soy Mocha. If you have never tried this and you like raspberry and chocolate, please do. I dated this dude a few years back and him introducing me to this drink was the one good thing I got out of the relationship.

 I only have this maybe three or four times a year because it is that orgasmic.

I noshed on their Huevos Rancheros wrap.

I love huevos rancheros, I love Starbucks. But this wrap? It was Gigli-rific. It tasted like something Lean Cuisine or Weight Watchers would come out with on their frozen breakfast line. Very disappointing since I have tried other breakfast items and all were fabulous.

I went to Harris Teeter to get a bread bowl for my spinach dip I am making this wknd. I wanted pumpernickel but the bakery man talked me into Italian since he said I am so Italian looking (which I will take as a compliment).

While I was waiting for the bread to finish in the oven, I wondered around the store. Look who I ran into :

Jay Robb Protein Powder!!

I’ve heard great things about his powders and never knew they had it at the supermarket. And only 23 bones—this will be a purchase in the near future since my current powder is running low.

Ok, I know a lot of people think Johnny Depp is sexy and all but I have never seen it. I’ve always thought he looked skeevy but after seeing him on this cover, I may have changed my mind.

Rawwwwwwr! And isn’t he 40 something? Homeboy is looking good.
